Power Flow Systems

Pilot Empowerer - LEES Edition June 2020

June 3 2020

One of the main reasons that we here at Power Flow were excited and intrigued by the opportunity to re-start production of Dane Wagner’s innovative exhaust systems was that we immediately recognized the potential synergies inherent with the project.

In the course of performing our due diligence prior to completion of the transaction, we spoke with several LEES Customers. They were nearly unanimous in their respect for Mr. Wagner’s designs and the level of his (largely self-taught) machining skills.

As is often the case with top-notch, dyed-in-the-wool entrepreneurs, though, Dane was less enamored of the crucial details required to reliably and consistently produce aviation grade components to the demanding standards required by the FAA for STC’d upgrades.

Fortunately for Power Flow and now, by extension, our new Customers for the LEES products, these are precisely the disciplines that we have spent the last two decades perfecting:

Material specifications and traceability, rigorous quality control protocols, and nearly-endless reams of documentation are all seemingly inconsequential and not very exciting details which (particularly in the eyes of the FAA) spell the difference between sporadic compliance and solid, long-term success.

This set of admittedly mundane skills is largely responsible for the fact that the vast majority of the roughly 6,000 Tuned Exhaust Systems we have produced since 1999 are still installed and flying on our Customer’s aircraft worldwide.

As our progress with the LEES project continues, we are being particularly careful to ensure that these same stringent procedures are developed and “baked-in” to the process for serial production of Dane’s ground-breaking designs. To that end, we have invested much of our time over the last month adding to our team of trained QC inspectors, welders, and other shop personnel.

Our next milestone is to do a trial fit-up of a LEES PMCF system on an O-470 Powered C-182. We are working diligently to accomplish that task by the end of June.

Want To Be A Part Of It?If you have already placed your order: Congratulations! Your spot in the production queue and your special Pre-Production pricing is “locked-in”. Current pricing for each of the LEES products is outlined below:

$6,650.00 for the O-470, I/O-520, or I/O-550 powered C-180, -182, & -185 airframes;

$2,950.00 for the C-205 through 210 airframes;

&$4,550.00 to $5,050.00 (depending on configuration) for the O-320 & O-360 powered PA-12, -18, & -20/22 airframes.

These prices are valid for all orders placed by August 31, 2020. Starting September 1, 2020, the prices shown above will increase by $200.00 - $300.00 across the board.

An initial deposit of $750.00 will confirm an order at the discounted price and reserve a place in the production queue on a first-come / first served basis. Once we have the new production line “up & running” we will assign a firm ship date for each order on-hand. We will also ask for an additional deposit of $750.00 at that time.

The remaining balance will be due one day before each new system is shipped, with shipments beginning sometime during the third quarter of 2020 for the Cessna systems and the fourth quarter of 2020, or the first quarter of 2021 for the Piper systems.

Just a Word To The Wise: We are now have over 50 confirmed orders for the new LEES products, so if you’d like to get a new high performance exhaust “In the Works” for your ship, you may want to do it sooner, rather than later.

Just give us a call or click here to place your order securely on-line.

We will keep you posted on our progress, in the meantime: Stay Safe / Stay Healthy / & All the Best
