Default FAA Certification to Production Time

Now that you have surpassed your minimum requirement for deposits received, I am assuming that you are proceeding with the certification process for the 177RG exhaust. Reflecting on your experiences with certifying your exhaust system in other aircraft, can you roughly estimate when the PowerFlow exhaust will certified and ready for production? 6 mos, 1 year, longer ?

This is a question that we have been asked numerous times since our first announcement and unfortunately I can not give you an answer. It is in our best interest to bring the product to market as quickly as possible so we can begin to make back some of the associated costs involved with this project. The unfortunate part of the situation is that is entirely in the hands of the FAA. The process can take many months if not longer. There has been allot of scrutiny on the FAA lately, especially from the airline side so each and every detail from airlines to GA has gotten more difficult. Believe me when I say, we are just as eager as you are to begin shipping the RG exhaust system, research, development, certification, and production are expensive!

Default Number of Deposits

as of 8.8.08 at 2300 (eastern)

54

Congratulations to all Cardinal RG owners who got their deposit in before the July 1, 2008 deadline, you just saved $715.00. Thats right, since we passed 50 deposits the discount has again jumped. Many thanks to all of the Caridinal Flyers Online members who have supported over the years and continue to do so.

Though the Pre-Production Pricing Program (alliteration aside) is now over, we are still accepting deposits which will lock in the current price. Final certification costs may exceed our estimates which will cause a price increase for NON-Deposit holders, all who have locked in are not subject to an increase.

Default Re: # of C177 RG deposits received (updated frequently)

In case you aren't aware, Power Flow received FAA Approval (STC) on the C-177RG exhaust in December 2008.

As of July 15, 2009, we have shipped approximately 40 exhaust systems and by the end of the month we will have shipped exhausts to the last of the deposit holders*.

*In these challenging economic times, a number of deposit holders have asked us to delay their shipment (and payment) and we have done our best to accomodate them. We are all in it together!

In August 2009 we will be able to ship exhaust systems to new customers just like our existing product line with our standard lead times and terms.

We are grateful for the support and continued enthusiasm from the Cardinal Community.

If you have been thinking about the exhaust system, please contact us for more information.
